Joy

Hi! I'm Joy — the person who never runs out of ideas and somehow always ends up in the kitchen. I've loved cooking for as long as I can remember. I'm that friend who insists on feeding everyone, and the one rule at my house is simple: don't ask what I cooked! Most of the time, even I don't know what to call it — it's just something I made on the spot. A dash of this, a sprinkle of that, and somehow... it works! That's how I roll — curious, experimental, and always chasing that next flavor combo that makes you go, 'What's the secret?'

My love for food naturally turned into a love for travel. Whenever I visit a new country, I skip the fancy restaurants and head straight for the streets — the hawkers, the tiny food stalls, the hidden gems where real flavors live. I taste everything that catches my attention, then try to recreate it my own way once I'm back home. That's how my personal 'cookbook' of crazy-delicious ideas keeps growing.

Founding The Bowl Republic was the moment my passion became real. With the help and execution of my college friends, I finally turned my wild dream into something I could share with others — a place where global flavors meet local love, all in one bowl. For me, The Bowl Republic isn't just a business. It's my story in every bite — the adventures, the experiments, the laughter, and the love I've always had for food and a way to bring people closer.

Every bowl we serve carries a piece of my story — the places I've been, the lessons I've learned, and the love I've always had for cooking and connection.

Hi! I'm Richard — I've been passionate about cooking since I was a kid (probably because I was always the first one hungry). What started as random kitchen 'experiments' at home slowly turned into a lifelong love for creating flavors that make people happy.

My journey with food has taken me far from my childhood kitchen. I spent years working in the Middle East, where I was surrounded by people and cuisines from all over the world. I've been lucky enough to travel, taste, and learn from different cultures — from the rich spices of Arabic dishes to the comforting heat of Asian street food. Every place I've been has taught me something new about flavor, patience, and the art of sharing food.

All those experiences reminded me of one simple truth: food connects people. It's more than just what's on the plate — it's about memories, stories, and the comfort that comes from a familiar taste or a surprising new one.

Joining The Bowl Republic reignited that spark in me — the desire to create something meaningful, something that brings both comfort and excitement to the table. Here, I get to turn my years of experience (and yes, a few burnt pans along the way) into dishes that represent more than just flavor — they represent passion, culture, and the joy of trying something new.

Being part of The Bowl Republic isn't just about cooking for me — it's about hope. Hope that every bowl we serve can make someone's day a little better, and that through food, we can remind people how connected we really are.

Sheena

Hi! I'm Sheena — your friendly HR and people-person at heart. For the past seven years, I've been helping teams grow, finding amazing people, and making sure work feels a little less like... well, work (most days, at least).

Over the years, I've learned that the secret to a happy workplace isn't just policies or paychecks — it's connection. It's about bringing together people who care, who laugh through the chaos, and who find joy in what they do. Whether it's hiring new talent, listening to someone's story over coffee, or diffusing a bit of workplace drama (yes, it happens!), I've always believed that people are the real recipe behind any great brand.

When I joined The Bowl Republic, that belief felt right at home. Because just like a perfect rice bowl, a great team needs the right mix — a little spice, a pinch of passion, and a lot of heart. Every person here adds something unique to the flavor of what we do, and I get to be part of bringing that together every single day.

For me, HR isn't just about forms and checklists — it's about creating a space where everyone feels valued and seen. Where people grow, laugh, and feel proud of what we're building together.

Because let's be honest — you can't serve something genuinely good without the right people behind the counter (or behind the spreadsheets). And here at The Bowl Republic, that's what we're all about: good food, good people, and good energy that feels like family.

Hi! I'm Romeo — funny enough, I never dreamed of having a restaurant. But through the years, traveling to different countries opened my eyes to more than just beautiful sceneries and breathtaking views of creation. It also made me appreciate how food and culture are deeply connected, how every dish has a story, and how flavors can bring people together no matter where they come from.

I grew up in a small province in the Visayas, where home-cooked meals were all I knew. Back then, I never imagined I'd be tasting dishes from around the world — or that those experiences would inspire me to think differently about what food can mean to people. Every new place, every bite, gave me that spark — the feeling that I could be part of something bigger, something that connects people through flavor and experience.

Now, while I may not be the one behind the stove (I still only know how to cook the easy stuff), I've found my place doing what I do best — making sure you have the smoothest experience ordering and enjoying our food online. I handle the tech side of things: making sure our systems run safely, efficiently, and in the most modern way possible.

I like to think of myself as the geek behind the scenes — the one who makes it easy for you to experience the flavors we pour our hearts into. Being part of The Bowl Republic has shown me that you don't need to be a chef to help create happiness in a bowl. You just need passion, purpose, and a bit of curiosity — and that's exactly what keeps me going.
